QAS Parent Association

Dear Families of QAS School,
QAS is committed to providing the absolute best education and environment for the children, families, faculty and staff.
We realize that in order to provide the absolute best this community can offer we must, as a community, become more organized, innovative and creative, utilizing all our resources, especially those provided by our very own families.
That is why this year we have decided to step up the parent involvement by first making every parent/guardian, who has a child enrolled in QAS School, a member of the QAS Parent Association.
QAS School is excited to introduce our "Parent Association" plan for 2008/2009.
At the bottom of the page you will find a link to a detailed description of duties and responsibilities of each of the 12 elected positions QAS Parent Association has to offer.
QAS has also recognized the importance of reviewing and qualifying anyone who wishes to serve in an elected position on the Parent Association.
REQUIREMENTS
- Any member of QAS Parent Association is eligible and encouraged to submit a resume along with a letter of intent for any elected position they may feel qualified for.
- Every elected position will be required to meet on the first Tuesday of every month.
- For the summer of 2008, more meetings will be required in an effort to develop a strong plan of action for our 2008/2009 school year.
- As a member, every family is responsible for annual membership dues. The annual dues for the 2008/2009 school year are $25.00 per family.
This cost is necessary for your Parent Association to operate in a professional and organized manner.All resumes and letters of intent will be due no later than Thursday May 15th 3:16pm.
Once all resumes and letters of intent are in we will list all qualified candidates along with a copy of their letters of intent to send out to all families.
Along with the list of potential elected members you will receive a voting ballot. Each family will be given until May 27th 3:16pm to return their completed voting ballot.
A ballot committee consisting of the school principal, school president, and school board chair, will then tally all received ballots and announce all elected voting members of the QAS Parent Association in the WAAG (week at a glance) by May 30th.
Remember, God does not always call the equipped, but He will always equip the called!
He can do more with your imperfections than the world can do with your perfections!
